We recently launched a new online ecommerce website (below) for a client, Artefact Design & Salvage in Sonoma, CA. Artefact carries unique architectural salvage and antiques from around the world, and decided they wanted to expand online a couple years ago. They chose BigCommerce as their ecommerce web solution.
What is BigCommerce?
BigCommerce is "the easiest way to sell online." Using templates, you can create an online store with hundreds of products. It's simple and very affordable compared to similar ecommerce platforms.
Artefact's Problem
Artefact launched their BigCommerce online store, while still retaining their original website. The problem was that since they used a template, their BigCommerce site looked a lot different from their original website. They worried about brand continuity and confusion for online shoppers going between the two sites.
The Solution
Using custom coding and some work-arounds, Addwater was able to combine Artefact's original website with their online store and blog-- all on BigCommerce. The result is a seamless experience for online and local shoppers alike. Better yet, we were able to create plenty of space for extra text on many of the webpages -- meaning better search engine optimization.
